Independence Day, 15th Aug 2018

15th August 2018: The St. Josephians witnessed 71st Independence Day celebrated in the senior school premises with zest and patriotic fervor. The celebration commenced with a prayer thanking God for his blessings and for a pleasant day followed by National Pledge, Flag hoisting which was unfurled by our honorable chief guest Col. Neeraj who has served the Indian Army for years. This was followed by the national anthem.

The chief guest Col. Neeraj was welcomed to by a speech delivered by Chetna and then Sr. Meera the manager of the school and the chief guest were felicitated with good luck plants. The Junior School choir and the senior school children sank the depth of patriotic music. The Josephians Junior and senior girls presented a graceful performance conveying the message of integration of soul and patriotic fervor.  The students also presented a skit “kakae” which represented the prevailing conditions of India.

The chief guest in his message enlightened the students. He told them that it is their prime duty to gather knowledge and inspiration, experiences which will turn into wisdom in a span of time and this will help them to rise from all that is wrong.

He is focused on the discipline of mind and body only then can freedom be achieved.  Today the youth is edging towards the world of artificial intelligence and technology which binds their minds from moving forth so he advised the Josphians to go out, spread out their wings, let their Minds be free and then spread the wisdom. The program conducted with words of gratitude and Sare Jahan Se Acha.
