PRERNA - A Parents’ Talent Show

5^th Nov 2016: Prerna was organized in the senior school premises of St. Joseph Convent School Shivpur at 1.00 p.m Rev. Fr. C. Thomas , Education Secretary, Diocese of Varanasi graced the occasion as the chief guest and Ms. Ashwani Kumar Dubey, Additional District & Sessions Judge, Varanasi, Kindly consented to the guest of Honour.

Sr. Gracy, Mother General of Sisters of Our Lady of Providence, Sr. Leelamma the president of the school. Sr. Meera the Manager of the school also graced the occasion by their benign presence.

The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp, followed by Prayer Dance , welcome speech and welcome song. The audience also witnessed a mesmerizing dance performance ‘Amber hamara rastha’ by the tiny tots.

The boys began with the open competitions which included Flower Arrangement. Salad Dressing, Rangoli Pattern and Mehndi Design. The judges for the competitions were Sr. Leelamma, Sr. Meera, Sr. Shanti, Sr. Jessy, Dr. Aradhana Srivastava, Dr. USha, Dr. Ruchi Tripathi, Mrs. Pramila , Mrs. Chhaya, Sr. Arul, Mrs. Gupta & Mrs. Srivastava.

Prizes were distributes to the winners of open competitions and main events. Rev. Father C Thomas appreciated the talents of the parents and enthusiasm with which they participated. He also blessed the audience with his words of wisdom.

The vote of thanks was given by Mrs. Seema Pandey, Secretary PTA. The programme concluded with National Anthem. IT marked the culmination of both creativity and enthusiasm of the parents.
